FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT TYPE OF CAVOODLES DO YOU BREED AND WHAT COLOURS?

We currently breed F1 Cavoodles, predominantly Red/Ruby coloured but occasionally have caramel pups available. We plan to have black, phantom, chocolate and blenheim coloured puppies available in 2024 and 2025.

WHAT DOES F1, F2 AND F1B STAND FOR?

F1 is a First Generation Cavoodle. Parents are a purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a purebred Poodle.
F2 is a Second Generation Cavoodle. Parents can both be F1 Cavoodles but can also be an F1 and F2 Cavoodle.
F1b is a First Generation Cavoodle bred back to a purebred Poodle or Cavalier. The b stands for backcross.

WHAT IS EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION (ENS) AND EARLY SCENT INTRODUCTION (ESI)?

ENS involves applying mild forms of stimulation/stressors to puppies for a few seconds each day between days 3 to 16 to awaken their neurological system. Studies have shown that ENS results in improved stress responses later in life.

ESI involves introducing and exposing puppies to different scents between days 3 to 16. We introduce scents such as orange peel, cinnamon, lavender and then record whether the pups have a positive, negative or neutral response. It is thought to improve their sense of smell and confidence later in life.

HOW BIG DO YOUR CAVOODLES GROW TO?

We do not categorise our litters as Toy or Miniature sized as sizes can vary greatly in a litter. Instead we provide weight estimates when advertising our litters. Currently our previous puppies have grown to be between 4kgs up to 10kgs fully grown.

DO YOU OWN BOTH PARENTS?

We only own the mothers and they can be viewed during FaceTime. We use stud dogs in our breeding program, therefore the father does not reside with us. However, there will be plenty of photos of him that we can share with you.

DO YOU HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA?

Yes, we are on Instagram @sweet_ruby_cavoodles. You can follow the progress of our puppies on Instagram and see regular photo and video updates, including future litter notifications.

DO YOU ALLOW INTERSTATE BUYERS?

Yes, interstate buyers are welcome. The transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We can assist with transport arrangements and provide company recommendations.
